Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is thanking his lucky stars that his future is in safe hands. Unlike former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, whose days at Manchester City look numbered following comments from Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra, Redknapp stated his satisfaction about Sacha Gaydamak. I’m very lucky here, my fella’s been fantastic. I think the people of Portsmouth are very fortunate to have him. He’s supportive, doesn’t interfere and he’s improved everything here.”

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was reported to have laid out almost £3 million to get the Stamford Bridge players, their families and club officials to Moscow for the Champions League final against Manchester United on May 21. From Gunners to goners? It appears that everyone is leaving Arsenal. First, Patrick Viera. Then David Dein followed by Thierry Henry, Keith Edelman and most recently, Mathieu Flamini and Jens Lehman. The German keeper was a player opposition fans loved to hate but the departures of board members Dein and Edelman makes the club feel less kosher. What would neighbours Tottenham say about that?
