Entrepreneurs Ben Avigdori, Lawrence and Karen Santi are out to prove that cocktails can rival kneidlach. Their trendy Farringdon hotspot, Barsmith, was recently named "Best Bar in London" at the 2015 London Club and Bar Awards, winning praise for drinks that include Nutella brandy and caramel tequila. According to the trio, "trends have changed from the cliché that Jews don't drink much." Time will tell whether Nutella brandy will make it on to the kiddush table at Norrice Lea shul, where all three are members.
