Louis is from East London, Ann from Manor House. Both are retired. Ann was a secretary in the Civil Service for 33 years. Louis worked in security. Both attend Jewish Care’s Kadimah Centre in Stamford Hill. They live in Bow.
How they met
“About six years ago at Kadimah and I took a shine to him right away,” Ann recalls. “Louis is lovely — he’s a very gentle man, sensitive and kind.”
The proposal
Louis: “I popped the question when we were out at a little tea place — I was a bit nervous of asking her but hoped she would say ‘yes’. I love Ann. She is a very kind person and she spoils me.”
The wedding
“We got married at South West Essex and Settlement Reform Synagogue,” Ann says. “I wore a lilac suit and carried a mixed bouquet and the chupah was decorated with flowers.”
The honeymoon
“We spent two days at the Thistle Tower Hotel, then went to Clacton,” Louis says. “We often go there, we enjoy it.”
