Ronnie Appleton QC, president of the Belfast Jewish Community for the past 14 years, has resigned. Addressing the annual meeting, Mr Appleton said: “Having reached the age of 80 I think it’s time I took it a bit easier, but I will still make my contribution to the Belfast community.” He added: “I have enjoyed serving the Belfast Jewish Community into which I was born, which I love and of which I am justly proud.”
