A boutique evening — the first public fundraising event organised by the Yavneh College Association — helped supporters of the secondary school to reach their £8,325 target for a minibus. Over £1,000 was brought in as local community members turned out in force to shop for products ranging from Judaica to hairstraighteners. There was also a stall run by Yavneh pupils, who raised more than £120 for Great Ormond Street Hospital from the sale of greetings cards they had made from recycled materials.
