HMH A completed a Maccabi GB Southern Football League and cup double on Sunday morning as they thumped Hendon United 5-0 to secure the Premier Division title on goal difference. Knowing nothing less than victory against the leaders would suffice to clinch their second piece of silverware of the season, Ethan Krell’s brace, coupled with strikes from Oscar Wagner, Sammy Kingston and Charlie Ezra, saw them seal an emphatic win. Joint managers Alex Moss and Eli Wegrzyn said: “We’re incredibly proud of what the squad has achieved. To win the league has been a journey for us all and for our chairman, Avi Goldberg, who has played an integral part since our formation in 2018. This one was for him.” Captain Jake Norton said: “We only focused on ourselves and took it game by game. Throughout the season, the team has performed to a high level and we deserved the opportunity to win the league today.” Their season can still get better – they can end the campaign by winning a quadruple. Moss and Wegrzyn added: “We’re delighted to be in a position where our season isn’t over yet and focus now switches to two more cup finals over the next few weeks.”
