Hundreds watch Wolfson Hillel Blue win

Wolfson Hillel Blue won Maccabi GB’s biggest-ever school sports tournament, claiming victory in the Year 5 and 6 Boys’s football competition.

Sponsored by All Aboard Charity Shops, 48 teams from 20 schools took part in the event, which saw more than 450 players compete, watched on from the sidelines by an additional 200 spectators. attracted a total of 220 players and a further 125 spectators.

Beating Mathilda Marks Kennedy 3-1 in the final, Nathan Bloohn, School and Sports Coordinator at Maccabi GB, said: “Today was our biggest tournament to date. The standard of football continues to rise with each event we host, and it’s clear the future of Jewish sport is very bright.”
