The chairman of Worthing and District Jewish Community, Barbara Gordon, and her husband Ian, hosted an interfaith group. Three students, one Jewish, one Christian and one Muslim, were accompanied by local MP Peter Bottomley. They were part of a “Parlia-mentory” scheme to learn about each other’s religions. The Gordons took the opportunity to explain the significance of the mezuzah on their front door.
