From September 28 1962

Ingredients

Self raising flour, 4 oz.
margarine,3 oz.
sugar, 1 oz.
honey. 1 tablespoonful
milk, 1 tablespoonful
1 egg
lemon icing

Method

Cream margarine, sugar and honey then add the well beaten egg.
Fold in the flour add the milk and mix lightly.
Half fill paper cases with the mixture and bake on an upper shelf of a moderately hot oven for about 15 minutes (400 degrees Regulo No. 5).
When cold spread with glace icing strongly flavoured with lemon juice.

For Afternoon Tea
(1) Add a few chopped walnuts to honey and use as a sandwich spread.
(2) Spread hot buttered toast with honey, cut into fingers
