A joint celebration of Israel’s 60th anniversary was organised by the Oadby and Wigston Multicultural Group together with Leicester Hebrew Congregation and Leicester Progressive Jewish Congregation. At the event, held at Parklands Leisure Centre, in Oadby, guest speaker John Levy, the director of the Academic Study Group on Israel and the Middle East, talked about “The Six Decades of Statehood, Progress and Problems”.
