Facebook group ‘The Latte Lounge (Top tips for Women over 40) will be celebrating their 2nd birthday on June 10th. The Facebook group has been very successful for the two years it has been running. Katie Taylor founded the group after realising that women such as her really needed a safe, relaxed place where women worldwide aged 40-65 could discuss their daily problems. Over 12,000 have become active members since.

Members of the group will be celebrating on July 12th with an official launch of their website www.lattelounge.co at the Laboratory Health Club and Spa, situated in Mill Hill.

The event ‘Live Latte Lounge’ will be from 1 to 6pm with free classes, treatments and fizz and lattes for everyone to enjoy. There will be a Q and A with all their bloggers and a medical panel will be there.

Katie Taylor says: “It has been a year in the making and a real labour of love for me.  It seemed like a very natural extension to the Facebook group and I feel, over time, it will almost become a necessity for members, many of whom come to us anonymously with very troubling problems”.

Their aim is to become “the GO-TO place for all midlife women” (Katie Taylor), to hit over 20,000 members and to grow their Instagram following. Their team is made up of over 25 bloggers writing various blogs about important issues that occur for women including every day issues as well as helpful medical information.

The event will also be in aid of Cancel Research, Katie Taylor also adds how the “long term goal of the business will be to use some of the profits to fund a group of scientists to [further research] and find a cure for breast and gynaecological cancers”.
