HEATON PARK ROVERS 3 SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS 3rd 3
David Seligman claims his Heaton Park Rovers players suffered a wake-up call following a six-goal thriller against South Manchester 3rd.
But it could have been worse for Seligman’s men as a second-half rally saw them snatch a point.
Player-boss Seligman said: “Our preparation wasn’t up to scratch and it showed it our performance.
"We were sloppy at the start of both halves. Everyone realises that level of performance cannot continue.
"In all fairness we rallied to earn a draw, but this is a game we should be winning."
Ethan Krell and Aaron Searle netted for the visitors before Jonny Franks hit back on the stroke of half-time.
Lee Goldwater stunned HPR by extending his side’s lead again before Harry Roach and Richard Myers hit back.
