Toby Levy admits South Manchester "lacked a cutting edge" as they went down 2-1 against reigning champions PWC in the Manchester Accountants League.

South soon found themselves on the back-foot, as defensive errors gifted PWC a two-goal advantage.

But they responded well and pulled one back before half-time through Louis Rawlings, who continued his good scoring form with another headed goal from a corner.

South dominated the second half, but lacked the killer touch in front of goal. Levy hit the post midway through the second half, but PWC held on to record their first victory of the season.

Goals from Jamie Harris and Ben Kersh helped an under-strength Haroldeans team maintain their title challenge in a 2-0 win over South Manchester Sports Club 2nd in the Manchester Jewish Soccer League.

Alex Swift (3) and Mark Broude saw Heaton Park Rovers pile on the misery for Maccabi Manchester Blue who succumbed to their seventh defeat in eight matches.

Super-sub Max Berg climbed off the bench to net a late winner for Oakhill against Maccabi Manchester Yellow.

Ben Mandell opened the scoring for the students before player-manager Andy Hatton's hit back for Maccabi.

Oakhill's Max Levy said: "Max's arrival made the difference."
