Andy Landesberg praised his team’s strength in depth as London Lions moved clear at the top of the Herts County Premier Division after registering their 10th consecutive victory.

With confidence high, manager Landesberg named an unchanged side again, as he sought to continue Lions perfect record at Chipperfield Corinthians.

The Lions forged ahead when Charlie Kasler fed James Gershfield, who unerringly netted his 15th of the season.

Chipperfield equalised against the run of play before the Lions stepped up a gear in the second half to score three times.

Austin Lipman restored the lead with his 10th of the season before super-sub Adam Burchell made a spectacular entrance, scoring with his first touch.

Burchell then turned provider to allow skipper Josh Kennet to complete the scoring and reach double figures for the season.

Landesberg said: "We didn’t have it all our way but we have a settled squad, all fighting for places in a winning team, which is exactly what you want.

"The substitutes came on and all had a great impact which shows the depth of quality we have at our disposal."
