Manchester Maccabi 1st continue to find life tough in the Cheshire and Manchester Sunday League.

Scott McGarvey's side crashed to a 3-2 defeat in a bad-tempered clash with RV Athletic.

Mark Bell and Sam Hatton were on the scoresheet in a game which saw seven yellow cards and two cards.

It has proved a baptism of fire so far but the Accounts Premier League champions have no regrets at swapping divisions.

McGarvery said: "We knew it would be a step up and that's how we have found it.

"But this will stand us in good stead. We are not used to losing so this is a new feeling for a lot of the boys."

Maccabi's second team have also struggled and fared little better last weekend, losing 4-2 to The Urmston. Oli Grant grabbed a double.
