Olly Grant and Louis Basso were Manchester Maccabi 1st goal heroes as they moved to the top of the Accountants Premier League summit.

Grant and Basso struck early on but Anthony Gellman’s team were left hanging on after failing to convert a host of chances created.

Gellman demanded his side find their ruthless streak and said: “We made it harder for ourselves than it needed to be.

"That could come back and bite us if we don’t take our chances. But the important thing was that we earned the win. We are in a good position but it doesn’t make a massive difference to the table. The big game will be when we play against Flixton."

Meanwhile, Paul Clayton's brace helped Manchester Maccabi 2nd overcome Chorlton 2-1 in their Division One clash.
