Leeds boss Daniel Kristall hopes common sense prevails after his side’s clash with Maccabi Manchester Yellow was abandoned.

The Yorkshire side were cruising 4-0 when Dan Feldman suffered a broken ankle in the 65th minute.

Referee Dennis McCarthy called the game off following the horror injury sustained to the Maccabi Manchester Yellow defender whilst clearing the ball unchallenged.

Kristall said: "First and foremost, we wish Dan a speedy and full recovery. Our only concern is for the player's health. It was an unfortunate injury.

"It's up to the league with what they want to do now. If they want us to replay the game we will. But you would like to think the sensible decision would be to award us the win."

Leeds had opened up a four-goal buffer via Jordan Marks, Johnny Goldstone, Richard Black and Rob Selwyn.

Marks had been red carded for the table-toppers before the early finish, but Kristall added: “We thought it was a harsh decision.

"But I think it would be safe to say we were very comfortable when the injury happened."
