HAROLDEANS 8 PRESTFIELD 2

Shiffman joined Max Green and Max Barnett in bagging deadly doubles as the Merseysiders took another step towards being crowned champions.

Shaun Cooper and Daniel Lloyd-Ellenberg were also on target as Prestfield were put to the sword.

But Haroldeans boss Mike Bloomberg says the race for the championship is far from over.

He said: “We are ticking each game off as it comes. But nobody is getting carried away as we are not over the line yet.

“All we can do is put in professional performances and win the games.

"We know teams will be desperate to beat us and knock us off our perch.”

Prestfield grabbed a consolation via Ben Mandell’s brace and boss Zac Marks added: “We have competed in most games in our first season.

"I think, considering we are a new team, we should feel proud of our efforts.”
