MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION
REICH INSURANCE RANGERS 1 LEEDS MACCABI 5
Leeds began the new year just how they ended 2015 - by crushing their MJSL rivals.
The defending champions put on another five-star display as Nick Vale helped himself to a hat-trick.
John Saffman also netted a brace with Michael Freedman scoring a scant consolation for a depleted Reich Insurance Rangers.
Reich's director of football Michael Gaswirth said: "We came up against a very strong Leeds team but the scoreline didn't reflect our performance. We were down on numbers but put up a real fight.
"We are disappointed to be in mid-table but it's about us getting some consistency now to move up."
While Leeds have loftier ambitions, Gaswirth is targeting success in the three cup competitions in 2016.
He said: "We believe we can give anyone a game. And while we will continue to give our all in the league, we will be targeting the cup competitions.
"We are in the semi-final of the Harold Feldman Trophy against Maccabi Manchester Blue so we must fancy our chances."
