Deborah and Yoav Low were able to have their dream wedding on Monday as coronavirus restrictions were lifted across England.
Pandemic rules had forced the couple, members of Edgware Synagogue, to postpone their big day four times. “We’d been waiting for so long,” said the bride, 24, who works in public relations.
The chupah was at North Mymms Park with Rabbi Alex Chapper officiating. With no limits on numbers, the couple were joined by 230 family and friends, spaced out around the 400-capacity venue.
Guests were asked to take lateral flow tests and some wore masks and danced in their social bubbles.
It was “definitely emotional”, the bride said. The groom, 25, who works as a finance associate, added that the day had given those involved “a glimpse back to normality. We were able to have the wedding that we had dreamed of.”
