Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman will be in London this week to discuss “security, strategic and bilateral matters”.

Mr Lieberman, will arrive in the capital on Wednesday and meet his British counterpart Michael Fallon, as well as Middle East Minister Tobias Ellwood and US Secretary of Defence Ash Carter.

It is believed that Mr Lieberman will discuss defence issues with Mr Fallon and Mr Carter, described in a statement as “security, strategic and bilateral matters”.

Mr Lieberman first met Mr Carter shortly after his appointment in June, when they discussed deepening US-Israeli cooperation in the intelligence and technology fields.

The visit also coincides with that of Israel’s Public Security and Strategic Affairs Minister, Gilad Erdan, who is in London to warn of the dangers of Israel boycotts.
