Donald Trump has hit out at Israel after a ceasefire he brokered late last night already appears to be breaking.

The US president accused both Israel and Iran of violating the US-led ceasefire and ordered Israel not to target Iran in response to another wave of ballistic missiles from the regime, fire this morning.

He said: “Do not drop those bombs. Bring your pilots home, now!”

Speaking to the media before en route NATO summit in The Hague, Trump told reporters on the White House Lawn that Israel “didn’t have to unload.”

He said, “we basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing.”

When asked if he believed that Iran was still committed to peace, he said he thought it was, but added, “They violated [the deal] but Israel violated it too.”

“Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I’ve never seen before,” said Trump, who was visibly angry.

He went on, “I’m not happy with Israel.

“You know, when I say you have 12 hours, you don’t just go in the first hours and say you’re going to drop everything you have on them.”

“So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either. But I’m really unhappy if Israel’s going out there this morning, because of one rocket that didn’t land, that was shot, perhaps by mistake, that didn’t land. I’m not happy about that.”

Trump reiterated his message on social media, ordering Israel to turn its planes around.

“I gotta get Israel to calm down now,” he said.

“Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now!” he wrote on Truth Social.

However, moments later, Israel announced that it had hit targets in Tehran and that their planes were returning to Israel. Footage on social media showed black smoke rising over the north of the city.
