Meanwhile, a new play by Graeme Messer will receive its premiere at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Central London next week. Laughing in the Dark is about Nathan Silberman, who is 12 years old and has never spoken a word. His parents buy him a ventriloquist’s dummy which he eventually uses to entertain fellow inmates in a Nazi concentration camp. Laughing in the Dark has the slightly more audience-friendly run of April 28-May 3.
