HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
LONDON LIONS 4 WORMLEY ROVERS 0

London Lions' winning run continued at Rowley Lane with another emphatic win, and it seems they are sweeping aside all-comers in the team’s promotion chase.

Each week another one of Lions attacking threats seems to step forward and win the game, and today it was the turn of Charlie Kasler, whose excellent hat-trick did the business for Andy Landesberg’s men.

Wormley started with five at the back in a bid to frustrate the league leaders, and this tactic looked to be working until midway through the first half. Rather than try and fight his way through, Kasler scored excellently from range to open the score.

With half-time beckoning, Kasler did exactly the same again with an arguably better strike to make it 2-0.

Kasler completed his hat-trick as Lions increasingly took control, dominating possession and chances.

Lions were able to use keep their squad fresh as well by introducing Rocky Spitzer, Jordan Marks and Adam Burchell without any drop in quality – showing the depth of this group.

As the game came to a close Austin Lipman rounded off the day with the fourth and Lions remain top and unbeaten.

Manager Andy Landesberg was full of praise again, saying: "We know we cannot let our standards drop. We set out to win and then keep a clean sheet and we did that. Charlie was excellent today but we have quality from 1 to 11 and then even more on the bench’.

Lions travel to second place Belstone in a local derby which could be a clue as to where the Herts County Premier Division title ultimately ends up.
